External Exams (A Reminder)

Please note the following:

The art exams, and times for practicals, have been handed to the children and emailed out.
Your child needs to have a copy of the I.D/Birth Certificate and photo that was used to register them for their exams, and a copy of their Statement of Entry with them, upon arrival at the exam venue.
They need to be at the venue a minimum of 45 minutes before the start of the exam.
A reminder that the end times are static, 11:00 for AM and 15:00 for PM.
If your child has a clash, then a ‘Clash Candidate’ document would have been added to their Statement of Entry email.
Children must be in school uniform, and have the required stationery in a clear, plastic bag.

Times for Externals

When there is a clash, e.g., two exams have been scheduled for the same time, alternative arrangements have been made by the exam venue, and exact times were given.

An exam timetable has been attached to every Statement of Entry that was sent out by Andrew’s Academy, and each student has been given a personalised, physical copy of the timetable with their exact exams, and times, highlighted.

Lifts to Exam Venue

Transport must be organised in advance. If your child needs assistance getting to the exam venue then please send an email to admin@daybridge.co.za or phone the school, 011 672 1036, or contact Mr Nathan directly on 066 204 0250.

Your child may organise transport directly at school.

Drop off = R 95

Drop off and Pick-Up = R 180

No EFT allowed. Cash only.

During Exams

Your child needs to attend school on days they are not writing external exams. Completed past papers need to be marked by the teachers so that feedback can be given.

Please know that students cannot study off the mark schemes, as they do not give an accurate reflection of how a paper is marked. Mark schemes are guidelines for teachers only.

Internal Exams

Internal exams will start on Wednesday, 18 November 2026.

Exam timetable to follow.

If your child is writing fewer than three external exams, then they will need to write the internal exam for the subjects that they are not writing externally. Those not registered for external exams will write all of their subjects internally.

Term 4

Please note that there will be no cycle tests during Term 4. School will close at 12:10 on Fridays.

Notice Period

If your child is leaving at the end of 2026 then a term’s notice is required in writing. This does not apply to those who will be matriculating at the end of 2026.
