School Calendar
School closes on Monday, 30 June 2025 and commences on Thursday, 17 July 2025
Please take note of the following dates:
- Tuesday, 03 June 2025 – AS Biology (Practical)
- Thursday, 05 June 2025 – AS Physics (Practical)
- Tuesday, 10 June 2025 – Afrikaans/Zulu oral exam
- Wednesday, 11 June 2025 – AS Chemistry (Practical)
- Friday, 13 June 2025 – Study leave for prelims
Reports
Term 2 reports will be handed out on Thursday, 12 June 2025. These marks are made up of cycle tests, class tests and assignments.
Prelim Exams- See attached timetable
Rules:
- Learners need only come to school when writing an exam.
- Candidates must be at school 30 minutes before the session starts and seated 15 minutes before the commencement time. PLEASE CHECK TIMES DAILY.
- No school bags allowed in the venue.
- Stationery to be in a clear plastic bag.
- No borrowing of calculators or stationery.
- No tippex allowed.
- Learners must be in full school uniform.
Should your child have transport problems, school will be open during normal school hours. We will provide a venue for them to study if they are not writing an exam.
Registrations for external exams should be based on marks achieved in the prelim exams. Reports for the prelim exams will be handed out on Friday, 18 July 2025.
Registrations need to be finalised no later than Friday, 01 August 2025 (IG and AS only). PENALTIES APPLY FOR LATE REGISTRATIONS.

- Registration fee = R650.00
- IGCSE = R2950.00 per subject
- AS = R3100.00 per subject
- AS Physics = R4500.00
- AS Chemistry = R4500.00
- AS Biology = R4500.00
- IGCSE Art = R4350.00
- AS Art = R4500.00
- IG Foreign Language = R3850.00
Invoices for externals exams
Please note:
Invoices will be sent out by Friday, 06 June 2025.
The invoices will be based on what the children have indicated they want to write.
Please let Ms Luca know if the subjects are incorrect and you will be re-invoiced (admin@daybridge.co.za).
Should you want to wait until after prelims to finalise subjects for external exams, let Ms Luca know before 24 July 2025.
All exams need to be paid for by Friday, 01 August 2025 otherwise penalties will apply.

The envelopes with a photo will be given to your child.
Should you want a special package please indicate on the envelope. Ensure that the exact amount is in the envelope.
Envelopes and money need to be returned by the due date on the envelope.

Excursion
Destination: Museum of Illusions
Date: Friday, 05 September 2025
Cost: R120 (Entrance) + Transport. Total to follow.
Workshops
Please note that Dr Louw, the Physics and previous Biology and Chemistry teacher, will be offering the following extra lessons for AS and IG Science students. Please note that these are highly recommended for all science learners to attend. Extra lessons will be at no cost to parents.
For AS students
28/05 – Biology
04/06 – Physics
12/06 – Chemistry
These will be from 14:00 until 16:00 after school on Wednesdays and are to specifically prepare them for the upcoming prelim exams.
For IG students
29/05 – Chemistry
03/06 – Physics
10/06 – Physics
These will be from 14:00 to 15:30 after school and are to prepare the students for the upcoming prelim exams.
Additionally, AS students will be encouraged to attend winter classes at the school on the following dates.
01/07 – Biology
03/07 – Physics
08/07 – Chemistry
10/07 – Physics
These will be from 10:00 to 14:00 during the school holidays and this is targeted at AS2 students to prepare them for their external exams.
