School Calendar
School closes on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, and commences on Thursday, 16 July 2026.
Please take note of the following Prelim exam dates:
- Tuesday, 02 June 2026 – AS Biology (Prac) 13:15PM -15:15PM
- Wednesday, 03 June 2026 – AS Physics (Prac) 13:15PM -15:15PM
- Thursday, 04 June 2026 – AS Chem (Prac) 13:15PM -15:15PM
- Tuesday, 09 June 2026 – IG Afrikaans-IsiZulu Listening Exam 12:30PM -14:00PM
Reports
Term 2 reports will be handed out on Thursday, 11 June 2026. These marks are made up of cycle tests, class tests, and assignments.
Preliminary Exams – See attached timetable
Rules:
- Learners need only come to school when writing an exam.
- Candidates must be at school 30 minutes before the session starts and be seated 15 minutes before the commencement time. Please check times daily.
- No school bags are allowed in the venue.
- Stationery to be in a clear plastic bag.
- No borrowing of calculators or stationery is allowed.
- No tippex is allowed.
- Learners must be in full uniform.
Should your child have transport problems, school will be open during normal school hours. We will provide a venue for them to study if they are not writing an exam.
Registrations for external exams should be based on marks achieved in the prelim exams. Reports for the prelim exams will be handed out on Friday, 17 July 2026.
Registrations need to be finalised no later than Monday, 03 August 2026 (IG and AS only).
Penalties apply for late registrations.
Fees Payable for External Exams
- Registration fee = R700
- IGCSE = R3 150
- IGCSE Art = R4 550
- IGCSE Foreign Language = R4 130
- AS = R3 300
- AS Physics = R4 700
- AS Chemistry = R4 700
- AS Biology = R4 700
- AS Art = R4 700
Invoice for External Exams
Please note:
Invoices will be sent out by Friday, 05 June 2026.
The invoices will be based on what the children have indicated they want to write.
Please let Ms Luca know if the subjects are incorrect and you will be re-invoiced (admin@daybridge.co.za)
Should you want to wait until after prelims to finalise subjects for external exams, let Ms Luca know before Friday, 24 July 2026.
All exams need to be paid for by Monday, 03 August 2026, otherwise penalties will apply.
Excursion
Destination: Northgate Shopping Centre, Ice Rink.
Date: 04 September 2026.
Time: 09:00AM – 11:30AM
School will close at 12:00PM that day.
Currently, we are looking for affordable transport as the price of diesel has made hiring a bus very expensive.
If any parent has a connection that we can use, to organise transport for 55 people, then we would be grateful to receive the help!
Prices for the excursion will be sent once details have been finalised.
After School Maths Lessons:
AS – Mondays, 14:00PM to 15:00PM (Revision)
IG (Ext.) – Tuesdays, 14:00PM to 15:00PM (Lessons)
Please note that unless the above sessions are cancelled, these lessons are compulsory.
